How do the z28's handle in snow?

I know it's the wrong time of year to ask, but I'm in the market for a new car and a nice 99 or 2000 z28 is what I want but it will be a daily driver and living in NY it will encounter snow. any of you guys have any stories or tips about how well they handle (I will deffinetaly be buying winter tires) thanks guys.

I had a 91 RS that I rolled in the snow in Idaho going like 40 mph. I started to slide, hit an ice bank and found myself upside down. That was with a piddly little 305 TBI. I now own a 2000 SS and live back in So. Cal and would never think of taking my 2000 in the snow.

I have a 2000 Z and live in southern IL. We see a fair amount of snow and ice here. I think as long as you have the right tires and you take it easy your ok. As long as the snow dosent get real deep its ok. Also you dont want real wide tires becuase they drift alot worse.

Here is what you need to do. Go get yourself the Z and then find yourself a P.O.S. pick-up or front wheel drive for the winter because there is always the "other" guy on the road that wants to drive like a bat outta hell. Also, I was in Albany, NY in March on business. It was 60 when we landed and by the next night 12 inches of snow had fallen. Camaros don't need to be driving around in that. LOL

I live in Chicago and drivin in the snow sucks. I try to get rides or just take one of my parents SUVs when it snows, since I can't afford another car. I almost hit another car trying to make a right turn going like 5 mph in the snow. But luckily I didn't. It's not fun, except to do some doughnuts in an empty parking lot.

CarHoods.com has them and I think that they have a $100 rebate on them right now.
