power steering cooler

what is the bennefit to a power steering cooler?
i keep hearing about them but have no idea what the bonus is.

i hate to sound rude, but i do belive it helps keep the power steering fluid cool.

i mean is the power steering system so faulty to require a cooler
to keep it from screwing up?

No it is not faulty. The Z28s, and Formulas did not come with it. It is there just for better protection during hard driving conditions like road racing.
