on the way to the track friday night i got pulled over by a DPS trooper and he gave me a freakin ticket for not having a front license plate!ive had the car maybe 3 weeks and the dealer didnt give me a front plate,nor is there anywhere to mount one anyway!there has never been a front plate on this car!plus,in the TTL im getting new plates anyway!i tried telling him that but he wouldnt listen.too happy to be giving a ticket to a guy in a shiny red camaro.hill-billy a**h*Le!i asked him how i would go about getting this dismissed and he said "you can see how you will go about PAYING the ticket when you call the judge"i wanted to unlatch my t-top and beat him to death with it.i was so mad!he had me pulled over for 40min messing with me trying to search my car!i told that a-hole hell no and he finally let me go.man,ive been fuming about this for a few,thought i would finally tell someone!calling the judge or whoever today to figure this out.

Only words I have for you is get used to it. It pisses us all off but it happens to each and everyone of us. I had my car three weeks and got pulled over three times. Resulted in two tickets and a slap on the hand. I don't have a front license plate either but the things I was doing definitely got their attention away from the front of my car. LOL Anyhow find yourself a good lawyer and keep his number on speed dial. I've made a house payment or two for mine.

Same thing happened to after 2 weeks he singled me out of a pack of cars !!! None of the Camaros on the lot had front license plate holders installed. I had to buy a cheap plastic p.o.s. from the Stealership and dig up some screws to mount it. $22.00

I mounted the plate with blue led bolts and got a ticket for $115.00....

You can't win with those F***ers !!!

ive been trying to call the bastard judge damn near all day,just getting his voicemail.he sure hasnt called me back!i got singled out for sure.i was riding out there with my buddy who has a 2000 SS and he doesnt have a front plate either.his car is blue.that trooper saw both of us.damn me for getting a red one!

i will be getting pissed on if i have to pay that ticket!buying this car set me back for a while.i really should have waited a month or so,but i wanted it so bad!im broke as a joke.i think someone told me this ticket is about $150 now!

That sucks! In Cali it's a fix it citation. When the officer wanted to search your car, what did he say he was looking for, or his probable cause?

When you get pulled over, can a cop legally search ur car with out a warrant??? I just listened to that Jay Z song and he says the cop has no right to do it... but it is just a song...

Same thing happen to me in Texas 2 years after I bought my 94. Anyway, set it for court tell the judge you didn't recieve a bracket from the dealership but since then you have put one on.

The judge wanted to see the car or a picture so I went home propped the factory one on the car without screwing it on and tool a poloroid. I then drove another car back to the court house with the picture. Showed it to the judge. Ticket dismissed!! Try it, should work, just take a poloroid to court with you.

i may try that jmoore,that is,if i ever get ahold of them!still no answer,and no call back!and the a**hole trooper was just messing with me.he wanted a search because he said he thought i was acting suspicious.ha.not acting suspicious,just debating on whether or not to unlatch the t-top!and a cop can search your car without a warrant if he thinks he has probable cause.like if maybe i had a beer can in my cup holder opened,then he could have,technically.that is why they ask though,if you give them permission,then they can.thats why you can always say no,like i did.its so funny,here i am trying to become a cop in a few short months,and im getting reamed by them lately.this isnt the first problem ive had in the last few weeks.
