98 Z28 vs 98 Cobra

In January I bought my third Camaro (98 Z28 A4) and I have posted a few questions on here and have got mostly good advice. I haven’t done a thing accept new rear tires which helped tire spin but it acts like it needs a torque converter to free the engine a bit.
I am a career Firefighter and a guy on my shift just bought a 98 Cobra, he says it is stock accept for the Flowjunk I mean Flowmaster exhaust. The guys keep after us to rum em off and I think I would win but if I didn’t life around the station would suck. Should I go ahead and run him or should I wait until I get my airbox and exhaust done.

Not that i think youll lose i would wait until i got the mods done, why chance it specially since you have an auto. No one on here seems to realize that cobras are fast and since its not their ass on the line they have no problem telling people to race cars that they have never seen before. Its up to you, someone is going to win and someone is going to lose big deal people will forget about it in a few days anyway.

Well i left the board to continue on with my life for a bit, sorry i cant devote every waking moment to it. Women are fine on the site, but they have no place in a race car and they cant drive period.

Paul's wife (owner of Thunder Racing) will prove you wrong if you pull up to the staging lanes against her. She can cut one hell of a light and run's good times. My hat is off to her on that one. She will make many men think different about women driving race cars. I do agree that there's a lot of women out there that can't drive.

Bappity Bappity Bap. I wish I could get a chance to race you, with equal performing cars, Ill put my ability up against just about anyone and that certainly includes you, but the unfortunate factor is that I am in NC and u are in WI, and i am certainly not going to that wretched state. But if your ever in Greenville, NC post it on here and ill meet you at a stoplight, drag strip, or a driveway. I am 20 years old, but i dont see the relavance of my age, so tell me why it is. Ive had my car for 4 years and i have probably raced from more stoplights then you have driven through. Just becaues you have aged longer then i have certainly doesnt make you a better driver as your reflexes have no doubt slowed with age. I also see you are a bit irratable, no doubt due to the menopause you are induring. So i have openly accepted your challange should we ever meet, just so you dont think i talk and dont back it up. So all ive got left to say is "Just bring it bitch" Hey, you wouldnt by chance be the Lola the Kinks sang about now would you?

Yea if you raced that Cobra you would win easily because everyone in here knows how slow they are, and that one is a 94 it has to be slower because its older right everyone, i mean yalls knowledge overwhelms me at times. So my advice race any Cobra on the street for pinks and that way you will have 2 cars to drive around. Tools.

I thank everyone for there advice. All fords aren’t slow or trash as some have suggested. I had a 93 Lightning and it wasn’t slow and it wasn’t junk, very nice truck.
