Need new rotors and new tires!

Hi guys,

My rotors are pretty warped in the front, they have been since I got the car, 3000 miles ago. My car has 42000 miles on all the original tires and breaks, so its all getting replaced this summer.

I'm looking for any recommendations on rotors.... are the factory replacements good enough? (my car is 100% stock)

Recommendations on tires... I would like to get something that has some better traction than the stock tires, but I dont want to go into a pure summer tire, and I want to still get some decent mileage out of them. Include some consideration of prices, because I work part time at a toy store hehe.

Thanks for the help!

I think for the money I would prob go some other route than GM. I mean if those rotor only lasted 39000 then they arent much of a rotor to begin with. I think the Power Stop rotors are pretty cheap and I think they will provide a substantial improvment over stock. I havent ever used them so this opinion is purely what I would do if I were in your shoes.

On the tires, I dont really know what all season tires to suggest because I use my " summer tires " all year around. But I have Kuhmo's right now and love them. Very sticky. Seem to be wearing pretty well. And dont cost a fortune.

OK, thanks I will look into both of those suggestions.

I dont know why/how the rotors got so warped, but it shakes the car like hell when i try to slow down from like... 90 to 70, for example

Thanks

I have the powerslot rotors, they are alright, (much better than stock). I warped three sets of stock rotors before I had 20,000 miles on it. I do drive mine kinda hard yes, but I warped all of them trying to stop from 120+ mph. I have had the power slot rotors for 20,000 and have hauled it down from 140+ mph multiple times with no warping. They aren't the best but in my opinion they are well worth the small difference over stock replacement.

As far as a good all season tire try the BF Goodrich G-force KDWS, they run roughly $130-140 each.
