why is my 98 camaro so fast??????

hello everyone, i have a stock 98 camaro auto, with slp exhaust.... i have beaten every camaro ss,z28,auto/stick/vettes also with great drivers everyone always makes me pop the hood and with surprise its stock i bought used from dealer.. but owner be4 me was old man what is up with this please help me im so confused thank you

It's posessed just like all the cars I've had!!!! Maybe there's more than what meets the eye.

some have been known to be beasts from the factory. their was a guy awhile back that dynod bone stock (no exhaust,filter,or nothing) 334 rwhp! w/ 1200 miles on it!

2002 nbm ss factory options= t tops,m6, blk leather,asr,slp zr1's,auburn,bilstien,dual/dual, 345 hp package,dash plaque,grille, and mats. mods = tea stage 1.5 5.3 truck heads, w/ 11.1 to 1 comp, tr 224 cam, qtp merge headers, qtp 3' y pipe, no cats,corsa exhaust, asp crank pulley, taylor thundervolt wires, ported maf, ported tb, slp bellows, holley filter, pro 5.0 w/ lou's short stick, cags, bmr stb, kenny brown sfc, bmr torque arm, bmr lca's, bmr panrod, bmr ds loop, spec s3 clutch, poly t mount, moser 12 bolt w/ 4.11's, tsp 85mm cf air lid, rksport chrome ss badges, rksport cf interior kit, macewen gauges, harlan shift light, autometer gauges, tnt 100shot wet kit, srp ss pedals, american racing torque thrust 2's , clear corners and side markers, tinted windows, custom black painted rear panel (like berger cars), chrome hoodscoop grille, painted calipers w/ camaro letters, and lots of zaino! ( other than that she's stock) dyno'd 436 rwhp 403 ft. ilbs torque = na
547 rwhp 559 ft. ilbs torque = n20

Maybe that old man did some tuning and mods to the motor. I seen and old man here with a LS1 Z28 and it is modded like crazy, also has ground effects, raised spoiler and chrome 18 in rims. You never know. Why do you think a lot of older people drive Corvettes. Maybe because they don't want to grow up just yet.
