Maybe the lable is on the drivers door . Or it was removed or theydidnt put it on. Anyway, congratulations on your new baby. She will certainly bring you much joy, but, not as much as your own flesh and blood baby(ies) has/have( I hope). You will gain much knowledge on this site. I know I have.

The label should be on the back edge of the driver's door, you should see Z28 in the list of codes. The 35th anniversary limited edition versions are the ones with the stripes (they're all red), dark wheels and the 35th anniversary badges on the fenders. All 2002's get the 35th badge on the dash, it should have Z28 badges on the fenders and the rear panel.

Yes, you can get a skip shift eliminator through SLP or check this site .Skip Shift Eliminator and do it yourself. It's a piece of cake if you can get your car off the ground. I did mine and it works like a charm.

It cost me around a dollar and that is a "Resistor" not solenoid. It is the solenoid that you will be bypassing. The resistor is to fool the computer into thinking that it is still hooked up to the solenoid. Here is the link again that shows you howhttp://www.ls1.com/link_cags.html
