Good Drag Radials?

Hey guys? I'm trying to decide between the Nitto 555r Drag Radials and the BF Goodrich Drag Radials, I need a good streetable tire that may hit the track a few times. Mostly i need them for traction because w/ my longtubes etc.. and a soon to be cam, i just spin , I want something that will grip the best but also last a good while. How long do either of those last and which is better all round? I'm used to driving on BALD rear tires in the rain so i dont think rain driving would be a big deal either way but let me know what you guys think?
Thanks

yeah nittos were what i was thinking about i've heard they are a better street tire.... because through all of first even if itry to feather the throttle i SPIN then hit snd n spin till like 5,200 RPM it makes it VERY annoying n difficult to race sometimes how much of a difference woud the nittos make?

I've had both the Nitto and BFG. The BFG's hook up better, but don't last as long. The rubber compound is softer which explains the reason for both. The Nitto lasts longer, but doesn't hook up as well. Heating them up will make them both hook even better. I would go w/the Nitto's if you drive a lot and don't spend much time at the track.

BFGs are better for the track, Nittos are better for daily diving and going to the track. You do NOT want to run BFGs in the rain!
