skip shift

not to sound to dumb but what is skip shift? and by getting the resistor to eliminate skip shift what will it do? or is this anything that maters?i have a 98 Z and have used the power programer 3 to change my shift points would it bother this any way? thanks for any help Brian

a "skip shift" only has to do w/ 6 spds. if u changed ur shift points w/ the programmer chances r u have an auto? The skip shift itself is just something that when in 1st gear and getting it less than 20% throttle or so, you won't be able to shift into 2nd or 3rd. It will go straight from 1st-4th. Its Very retarded and can be annoying in some traffic, but the skip shift eliminator will get rid of the 2nd n 3rd lock out thats it.

ls1.com/mods will tell you exactly what resistor to use and give step by step instructions.
