Ive got a good cam for you. Its from Comp Cams its a
212/218 dur. 558/563 lift 115 LSA. This cam will give you alot better low end then similar cams with more duration. I dont know how much you know about cams but the higher the duration the higher in the prm range your power bands moves. IF you decide to get lower gears or dont mind not gaining alot on the bottom end then I would go with comps 222/224dur. 566/568 lift 112LSA. This cam will work awsome with lower gears but will work great with your stock ones you just wont see a huge low end improvment. You can get both of these at www.racenet.net for 350 bucks very reasonable. I would suggest getting the package that includes new springs and pushrods which you will need anyways.

Well you just got about the best advice your gonna get from MrBowtie, but I can tell you from experience the cam I just put in, and am very happy with for my '02 A4 street car, is a Texas Speed Comp Cam 220/220 .564/.564 114lsa and it along with long tube headers and y pipe increased my hp about 80 horse. I didn't pay very close attention to what you already have done but if you stick lot of horse in her you better be prepared to stick some money toward suspension and rubber otherwise you'll hurt your 60' cause you are gonna sit and spin, literally.

That Comp cam 220/224 is very nice one of my friends has it. He has only that cam, exhaust, and a 12 bolt, and he is running 11.9Xs.

That just means that the pcm will have to be retuned to match the new cam. Otherwise the car wont run very good at all, and you def. wont be seeing anywhere near your max potential power gains.

270H: The 270H is a great all around cam for high-performance street machines. It has a rough idle in small blocks and a noticeable idle in big-blocks. This is the largest cam that can be used with stock intakes and torque converters.
270H 270-270 224-224 .470-.470 110 1800-5800 84.99 Its only 84.99$ is that too cheap to get good performance? what do you think ""Comp Cams SB Chevy Magnum series of camshafts are specially designed with the needs of the street enthusiast in mind. Featuring more lift and longer duration, these cams flow better and make tons of power-to the tune of up to 150 more HP than stock. If your application demands the absolute most power look no further. Magnums are the ultimate! In most applications, valve springs should be checked for "stacking" of coils. Piston-to-valve clearance should also be checked. In addition, to get the maximum performance from Magnum cams, header's and 4bbl. carbs. are necessary. Power accessories may be affected since these cams produce less vacuum than stock. But this is a small price to pay for the enormous power you can expect from Magnums."" Can they really add 150hp?

That is a race cam you dont want to run that in a car thats going be driven on the street on a regular basis. I dont know if 150 hp is really possible out of just a cam. Even on a LS1 thats just not going to happen.
The cam you are looking at going with will work but it is the absolute biggest I would go if you plan on having a street car. Personally I would go a step down from that and try and stay in the 220-226 duration range otherwise all you power is going to be in the top end.

Mr. Bowtie u seem to know alot about cams. I was wondering if u could give me some advice on what cam best fits my car. Its a 00 Z with 3.73's flowmaster muffler, Hpp3 160* stat and KN airfilter. I was wondering what cam u would suggest i run. Its my daily driver to. I was also planning on going with some long tube headers in the near future.

And he is right it does help to know if its a m6 or a4 but since you have 3.73's Im guessing its a auto. Either way Im going to recomend to you the comp cams 222/224 dur. 566/568 lift 112 LSA. Or the TR 224 cam but thats going cost a fair amout more and wont performe enough better to justify the price imo. That comp cam coupled with a good exhaust is going to be VERY impressive in your car with 3.73's out back. You should retain a good driveability with it and comp makes top of the line parts. I would go to www.racenet.net for the parts. They are the cheapest place I have found yet.
