new front bumper cover

Hey guys... I just got clipped in the front by a truck. The front bumper is cracked from the base to the drivers head lamp.

Question #1. Any after market suppliers of front bumper covers???


Question #2. Does a Chilton or is there any manual out there on how to remove and replace these front ends???

try chevy-auto-parts.com...i had the same problem, that s where i got mine from..there may be one on ebay too though...its not hard to take off at all...i dont know if chilton has anything bc i didnt use it for mine...its not too bad though

Thanks. I will check out the manual. Quickly though, is this an afternoon type of job, just nothing but remove and bolt on??? Any special tools that you needed???

From the looks of it in the manual it doesn't look too hard but drawings can be decieving. I'd say a few hours tops. There is some stuff (energy absorber) that you might need also. Depends on how hard you were hit.

BUYER BEWARE-

A lot of aftermarket parts have a shoddy level of fit and finish. You may be better off getting a bumper from a salvage yard or through a discount GM parts house.
