ss paint
I just bought my 98 ss. i was told that all the ss cars had a black roof. my car is not a t-top. the roof is red. i know this car is a true ss but i think it might have been repainted for some reason. Is the roof supose to be black?

t top cars had the black roofs. not the hard tops. your car seems original. if your not sure go to slpeng.com and go to their forum. they have a vin id section. where you can type in your vin and they will give you the build number of your car and all. if they cant locate the vin than its not an ss.

My friend's 01' was a hardtop and had a black top. He bought the car new.

I did find out that the car has been repainted. I'm still looking for more info.
