05 v6 stang or 3.8 camaro

I know for sure the ls1 and modded lt1 can take any 05 stang gt but I'd like to know if the v6 camaro/ta still can beat the 05 v6 stang.

I would say probably not. It has more HP and torque than the old 3.8 and the 5 speed auto helps alot. I am sure the 05 V6 will beat the 94-98 GT's pretty easily.

an 05 v6 prolly cant take a 94-98 gt, they may have similar hp numbers but the gt's make a pretty decent amount of more torque then the v6 can

I would not be so sure of the 05 gt getting beat by lt1s and ls1s b/c if it is a z it may get beat, depending on the driver. The 05 gt has 300 hp. More than the z28 lt1s or ls1s. I am the biggest chevy fan u'll find, but the 05 gt will hold its ground against the z and maybe more. but the ss will woop it of course.

An 05 GT does not have more hp than the LS1s. A stock LS1 has 300 hp at the wheels, the 05 GT has 300 at the crank.

no insult meant but the ls1 in the z28 does not have 300 bhp it has 285 at the crank. the ss has over 300 at the crank and around 300 at the wheel. GM does their hp at the crank just like ford. Within the last couple of months I was reading in a magazine about a test on the GTO and it has 350 hp but was tested and had just over 300 bhp at the wheels. The lt1 in a z was tested (275 hp) and had about 230 bhp. GM does not rate their cars at the rear wheel. The 05 gt has a chance especially if it has a good driver.

the 05 v6 mustang has 210 hp and with 240 torque...the 3.8 camaro is 200hp with 225 torque...with some mods i would wager to say that the 3.8 could take em... then again it goes back to the driver too...

silver camaro, where do you get your info? They publish z28 ls1 ratings at 305 at the crank, and 320 for the SS, but most people I know who have DYNO'd their LS1s are close if not slightly above 300 at the wheels---and have you seen the new GT track times--13.9ish, just a little fyi which is about what a barely modded lt-1 runs, and an ls1 handles stock
