Question Brake Vibration

Hi all. New to the forums.

I purchased a 2002 camaro ss about 2 weeks ago. The car is in perfect condition except that I am feeling a vibration when applying the brakes.
It is most noticeble when I am at a rather hight speed and slow down. However, when I am just cruising in the city I still feel a slight "pusling" when stopping.
The only thing is that the car only has 15,000 miles on it. That seems awfully early for the rotors to be warped or to need resurfacing.
What do you guys think?

Thanks.

The brake rotors are warped. Youll either have to take them off and get them turned or youll need to replace them. My TA rotors warped at 8K. Still under warrenty so its free. Just take it to the dealer and have it fixed!

All it takes is a lot of friction (heat) then cooling them down suddenly (water puddle).

I could happen within 100 miles if you're really hard on the breaks all the time.

My rotors were severely warped when I recieved the car, my first mod was new cross-drilled rotors and performance pads....works wonders for cooling!

Sometimes when you drive through a puddle after having just used your brakes, you'll see a big cloud of steam come up...rapid cooling!

Well, I just dropped the car off this morning. Yes, the rotors are warped but Chevy is saying the rotors are only covered for 12,000 miles. I have 15,000. Oh well, no biggie. They are turning them as we speak.
Thanks again.

hmmm I would look into that a little farther because I just had mine fixed on my TA at just over 15K and they were covered.

Well, Mr_Bowtie. You were right. I just got another call from the dealership. They did cover the rotors after all. Great news huh?

Thanks again for all the help.

It really is a piece of cake to do yourself...so long as you have a 4-point lift, a little rolling seat, and about an hour or two....I did all four of mine in about 1.5 hrs, and that included painting the calipers...piece of cake
