nope. Rev limiter is set at 6200rpm stock, some one has messed with urs. What are ur mods? if its stock then u dont make much more power over 5200-5400rpm. But i want to shift a little after that. Say 5800-6000rpm.

Yeah and remember the stock tach is off at higher rpms so its probably a little lower than the 6800 but still sounds like its been moved.

I'd seriously consider a shift light if I was you.

How high do you guys rev your car? Im very new to my car and any tips for a "sprited" driver like myself would be great.

Please tell me what RPM is best for shifting at stock through all gears.

THanks guys,
D

I know from when I ran my 00 Z28 on the dyno the power started to drop back off after about 5800-5900 RPM's. I would shift it right in that range. You can kinda judge that yourself without a dyno, Youll feel the car flatten out ever so slightly before it shifts if your shifting to high. More rpms dosent always mean faster times. If youve bee out of the peak power range for 200-500 rpms before you shift your loosing time.

Well really theres not much differance between you Z and a SS. If you have LT's and a ory with all the free mods you wshould be faster. The only difference in the SS and Z is a better flowing exhaust, and induction. So youve already got that changed. About the only way that I know of to tell if its been changed is to plug it in some place that can do tuning and have them look at it.... Might be another way but I dont know what it would be.
