Will 373's improve my top end????

A while ago I test drove a 99 Z28 convertible. It looked and sounded stock... didn't check under the lid to see if it had a K&N, but it had the stock lid.

Well, this thing was a damn beast. The low end was very nice, and the top end was monsterous!!!!! No other LS1 that I've driven was that fast (including the one I have now).

I was told that 2000's were faster than the 98's and 99's, but this 99 vert was definately faster than my 2000... the only mod that I can think that it had was gears.

I want my car to be like that... will 373's make my Top end that monsterous??

3:73's will actually take a little away from your top end because your car will wind up and hit it's peak quite a bit sooner than with the factory gears, but your acceleration from a dead stop and well into the mid range is almost unreal with the 3:73's. By the way, was the 99 vert an auto or manual tranny?
