paint waranty?????

does anyone know if there is a paint waranty for defects in the paint. My father has a 98 ford taurus and he was telling me tonight that right before the waranty was up he noticed a defect in the paint so he brought it to the dealer and he was glad that he noticed it before the waranty was up and the guy told him that most people dont know it but the paint is warantied for longer than the 3 years or 36,000 miles. So i started to wonder if chevy had a waranty on their paint against factory defects that lasted longer than the normal one. The first time i washed my car i noticed that there was a bubble on the nose which is now a big black mark(all the paint is gone) about the size ofa quater and some how i kept forgetting to mention it when i would bring the car in for other waranty stuff. Now my waranty is up and i still have a black mark te size of a quater on my nose. drives me crazy.im going to call the dealer on mon. But if anyone knows that would be great. Thanks
