They are pretty self explanitory. They really only fit in one place. He will know how to do them, and if he cant figure it out then you need to find a new mechanic. They just tie the front and rear sub frames together.

DMS Address: P.O. Box 6397 Thousand Oaks, Ca 91359
DMS Phone: (818) 991- 8511 24 Hour Fax: (818) 991 - 8511 Email: info@dynamicmotorsports.com Website: www.dynamicmotorsports.com Bus. Hours: 8AM-6PM (PST) M-F 1993-2002 GM F-Body Sub-Frame Connectors (SFCs) Installation Procedures Thank you very much for purchasing our DMS Signature Series sub-frame connectors. These are made of 1.75" diameter which is drawn over mandrel steel tubing with 3/16" mounting tabs. Weld in. (non-convertible). They tuck up nicely to the car and don’t sacrifice any ground clearance. 1. Remove the clamps that hold fuel lines on the driver’s side in the front, pull lines downward being careful not to damage any of them. Wrap the fuel lines with aluminum foil in any areas where welding is to be done (PLEASE NOTE: Be sure to make at least 3 layers of foil around these lines to protect from being damaged during welding). WARNING: YOU ARE WELDING NEAR PLASTIC FUEL LINES. OLY A QUALIFIED WELDER SHOULD PERFORM THIS! 2. Sand powder coating from both connectors in areas where welding is required. 3. The saddle type mount in the front of the connector identifies the driver’s side sub-frame connector, which is wider than the passenger or right side connector. Place the driver’s side (left) connector front saddle section over rear most part of the front sub-frame. The tubular section will run along the rocker panel back to the lower control arm mount. 4. Use a 2”x4” on the floor jack, putting pressure on connector to hold it up in the car as tight as possible. As the same time, make sure the connector is as far forward as it can go while still fitting tight against front sub-frame. 5. Tack weld in place on the very front portion of the connector saddle and the rear mount position. Repeat this procedure for the right side connector. NOTE: THIS SIDE IS IDENTIFIED BY THE NARROWER SADDLE MOUNT. 6. Fold back carpeting from front floor over front seats on both driver and passenger sides. Remove doorsill plates and fold carpeting towards seat. You want to keep the heat from welding away from the carpets. 7. Now that both sides are tack welded in place, weld both front saddles wherever they contact front sub-frames. Weld along the rocker panel in five equally spaced places with the weld being at least 1.5” long but no greater than 2”. Weld rear plate to rocker panel and control arm bracket on both sides of the plate, taking care not to weld too much at one time so that the heat from the welding does not start a fire inside the car. 8. Let welds cool down before re-installing carpeting and doorsill plates. Let car down from jack stands and clean up. Your installation is now complete. Enjoy your SFCs! NOTES: 1. WILL NOT FIT CONVERTIBLE MODELS (THEY HAVE BUILT-IN SUB-FRAME CONNECTORS FROM THE FACTORY) 2. DYNAMIC MOTORSPORTS IS NOT RESPONSIBLE FOR ANY DAMAGES OR LIABILITIES FOR INSTALLTION OF THIS PRODUCT 3. INSTALLATION SHOULD BE PERFORMED ON A LIFT BY A QUALIFIED WELDER 4. USE EXTREME CAUTION WHEN WELDING AROUND FUEL LINES. ALWAYS HAVE A CERTIFIED FIRE EXTINGUISHER PRESENT WHEN WELDING Copyright © 2002 [DYNAMIC MOTORSPORTS, LLC]. All rights reserved. |

thank you very much guys. i dunno if he will or not mr.bowtie, hes more of a "farm mechanic" lol. he spends more time on tractors and manure spreaders than he does on cars and trucks. if i asked him to rebuild a transmission from a 1155 Massey Ferguson, well he could do that in his sleep, but i dunno about this. *i hope he knows what hes doing!*
