chocolate pudding?
Ok i know that i really really need to get my antifreeze changed becuase in the resevuare ( cant spell it but i do know where it is) the dipstick looks like chocolate pudding how bad is that? Also my oil is very dark ( need changing) smells like a dirty old man that works on cars. also my exaust is dripping water a little bit when i start up ( might be from the cold?) How far can you go on full synthetic? I just need to know these things before i go to the auto place and they see a girl needing work (on her car!) i dont want to spend more then what i need thank you for all your help
or could i do it myself? radiator and oil? i have changed oil before (not on this car) but dont have a clue on how to do the other. sorry for the silly questions but you guys are kind of like my dad ( rip daddy) |

i just had to read once i saw chocolate pudding, but get the radiator flushed by a shop and change the oil every 3k like the guys said. if the oil is just dark brown or black there shouldn't be any water in it, if it ever looks like a milk shake get ready for some pretty good repairs. if the oild looks dark or black and the radiator is milky then it could be the trans cooler inside the radiator leaking and the radiator needs to be changed adn then the system needs to be flushed, trans should be flushed to.

water
the water in your exhaust whwen you start it is just condesation from the exhaust being hot and cooling when you shut it off it will clear out as the car warms up nothing to worry about and i must agree with the other guys get the cooling system flushed and change the oil and filter every 3000 miles a little tlc now will save you thousands in the future

thank you all. I had my transmission changed about 10,000 miles ago but they did not change the filter ( i belive that it was put on a machine) dont quote me i was not there. Today i went about 200miles and i had to turn on the air conditioner while driving (highway) and the temp gauge moved just a llittle so i turned it off and decied to sweat
I know that 3000 miles is when you are sapose to change the oil but lack of money and time and a husband that wanted to do it (men! ) I thought you guys have it in your blood to take car of cars? but oh well I am getting things fixed without him so i guess i am better off. but thank you all and i will leave the pudding in the fridge from now on ![]() |
