Service Engine Soon Light

I can not beleive that on my way to work today, my dam service engine soon light came on. The car has 28k on it and it is only 2.5 years old. I have good oil pressure, good battery charge, It purrs when it idols, all of the shift points look good. I am dissapointed that this would happen when the car is well taken care of. Its not even out of the manufactures warrenty yet. This will be its 3rd trip to the dealer. The reason is different but I am starting to wonder about some lemon aid? I guess I am just pissed cause its such a hassle, if I did not have a second car, what then, do they do the loaner car thing? huh!!!!!!! I just had to vent

Could be a clogged cat, or messed up 02 sensor. These cars aren't strangers to this and some times they do occur early. Get it scanned.

Yeah, definately get it scanned. With the temperamental EVAP system in our cars, it could be something as simple as a loose gas cap. You may be surprised how many "simple" things can set off the SES light.

Ya, mine has come on during a 55mph cruise and then turned off 5 min later. It's usually something simple. Kinda like a headache, sometimes they go away shortly but usually you have to do something to get ride of it. Today I changed my oil and it came on within 10 miles of driving. I hate it also and I'm sure it's probably cats.

You should, if it's under warranty.

Well, last Thursday I got into the car and when I went to start it, all the electrical died. So the first thing I did was pop open the hood and check the battery connection. There was so much corrosion on the positive terminal that I could not even feel the bolt. I did not get a chance to even reprogram the car. So my wife called the dealership and they came and got it. They fix the window motor and the drivers side and they also turned my rotors for free. They had to replace the battery and they said thats what the problem was with my tracktion control. I have it back now and its running good again. Oh one thing, they did flash the computer back to stock, I will have to reprogram it again but that is a small constalation for all the good they did.
