Question Ram Air Firebird or SS?

Hey guys, I'm about to purchase a project car and was looking at a 02 Ram Air TransAm or a 02 Camaro SS. I'm going to be doing a lot of mods to it and was wondering which car you guys suggest. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I prefer the SS. You won't have to deal with pop up headlights for one.

Ya Kidd'n Right ????

Your in a Z28 forum asking which to buy !!!???

At least i can be objective when i say,, if your wanting to spend over #$ 2,000 more for equivilent car & prefer the style & profile of the Trans Am Ram Air... go for it shallow hal !!!

But if ya want the original F-Body King,, that they copy,, then buy Z28... I did & LOVE mine...

Check with your insurance company though as a Convertible Z-28 is usually cheaper to insure than coupes are ,, depends what your gonna use it for hot rod = coupe ,, enjoyment = convertible.

Good Luck & Let us know which way ya go...

Gary

ya suprisingly enough the insurance on my 99 Z28 m6 is like 3to 5 bucks cheaper a month than insurance was on my 98 V6 firebird a4 dont know how.. dont know why .. but it was. they both have t-tops btw. insurance was like 20-30 more for the t/a i believe

I say SS all the way. I sure wish I could buy one. I think they are making a big mistake by stopping production of F-bodys. But I will never buy a Stang!!!
