no back speakers

I have a 94 Z28 6speed....pretty much stock as it sits right now..but i was thinking of upgrading from the stock sterio speakers, and i got to the rear speakers and took the plastic off, well to my suprise there weren't any speakers there, just plastic/rubberish coverings over the holes to put the speakers in...so i tore those off looking for the wires, and i can't find them. The question is, does it have the wires?? Where are they at?? or will i have to take the entire side panel off and dig for them?? Its got the wires to the sub in the back (stock) but also no sub...so an i gonna have to rewire it so i do have wires back there to hook up the speakers?? and what are the best speakers for the money to put back there ??
Thanks
Ryan K

well from how you are describing it...you have the BOSE stereo that caem from the factory... i have that stereo also...... And from what i have found the UPGRADED stereo did have back speakers....just the two front speakers and the sub in the back..... i know it soudn wierd but its true...but mine had rear speaker wires so maybe they just fell where ya can't see em. I did try to hook up the rear wires...but they do NOT have power from the reciever.....about ur sub idk mayeb it was blown and someone else took it out......But if u did have the stock stereo it should have four speakers(2 in the front doors and 2 by the rear seats and NO sub... i hope this help man

mine didnt have any wires going to the back seat speakers. get 4 new 6.5"s and run new wire to each (just use 12v, accy, and ground off the radio harness. dont use the factory bose speakers with a new radio (without buying an integrator-but itll sound better w/new speakers anyway). -my front bose speakers were 2 ohm and my rear sub was 1 ohm - dont fry your new deck by just hooking (the fronts - bose) to your new radio. peace
