Horn doesnt work

When i hit the horns on the steering wheel they dont honk; but when i lock my doors it honks twice. Is there some setting or something the previous owner would have done, or am i going to have to trace the wire as its bad/disconnected accidently somewhere?

I would start at the switches in the steering wheel or wiring in the column. Check your fuses too, just to rule that out.

Be careful messing around with the steering column, one little wrong move and you'll be airbag-less. I'm guessing it's the horn switch though, just be careful.

Check the fuse's first, if you dont know how to work safe around an Airbag dont touch it. I have seen an airbag blow the head off a CPR dummy

Pull the air bag fuse and disconnect the air bag connector at the base of the steering column. It is yellow and clearly marked with a tag. Do that before trying to remove the steering wheel.

If you do that be sure as a prcaution to tape the end that goes up the collum, this way to prevent freak accidents. I ford Scan tool has set an airbag off as an example.
