Here's how you do it real quick n easy...if you have an extra baking pan from your kitchen and some tin snips (i used some big scissors), take the bakin pan and cut a little square out of it...then trace the EGR connector onto it and punch a couple of marks where the bolts go...then drill out the holes, RTV the sucker and bolt it back in...took me no $ and about 15 minutes to fabricate. No need to spend money on this one, and you can cut the block-off exactly the same shape as the original, so you've got a bit more stealth happnin.

I also blocked off the two air spots as I deleted my Air Pump, but beware that the EGR blockoff and the air blockoffs are slightly different shapes/sizes.

go forth to your garage, cut and bolt it in. you should be done before I get my pizza!

I would reccomend reconsidering removing the egr..
http://shbox.com/1/4th_gen_EGR.html read this page (mainly the bottom part)

having the EGR will actually help keep you from having detonation (knock).

also if you do remove it, since you have OBDII, your computer is going to freak out and start throwing codes. The only way to fix that is to have it reprogrammed. And if your going to have it reprogrammed anyways, you can actually have the EGR function removed from the pcm (by just setting 0% across the egr table).. that way when it comes time for inspection, they can see the system is there, but it will actually not be utilized by the pcm.. but again i wouldn't remove it if i were you

the reason im removing it is because i am going with the later LS6 style intake manifold rather than my 1999 LS1 intake manifold. The LS6 never came with it to begin with.

ssdreamz, Marty and I have both removed ours with no real problems, I have a check engine light from the codes, but that's easy to remove. Yes they do sell the LS6 intake, but if he doesn't need the EGR for emissions, there is no harm in removing it to clean up his engine bay, if it were me and I could throw my egr away instead of keeping it in a cabinet in the garage until my next smog, I'll also just replace my headers for long tubes without the EGR stuff.

Phantom is absolutely right...EGR does nothing for the car, nor does removing it do anything for the performance of the car positive or negative. Air as well. Although once removed and you have the EGR/Air Programmed out, you don't throw codes and pass OBDII easily, and you just got rid of about 15lbs of weight and a buncha stuff that makes it really difficult to work under the hood of your car (especially doing plug/wire installs). the pcmforless folks will do you program. No, the LS6 intake doesn't have EGR, so your alternative is to buy a $600 LS6 intake from SLP with the EGR provision, or get a $300 one off E-Bay and just delete the EGR. I can actually now see the stuff I wanna work on under the hood of my SS. It's kinda nice to have all those useless hoses/tubes/etc out of the way and if I wanna put it back to stock, I can do so in an hour or so. If you have a visual, scour the sites and find someone in your area that "loves" camaros.
