Check your drivers side door, should say 30 PSI. Running premium is worth it to some people because they have more detergents and a better burn than lower octain. It will keep your fuel system clean rather than getting gunked up by low grade mom and pop octain. LS1 edit is used by tuners who know what they're doing to change settings in the computer, I'd suggest having a dyno tune done if you have mods, if not the HPP3 is pretty decent for stock cars along with the 160 degree stat.

The best way to improve mileage is buy a different car, but you might try underdrive pulleys, electric water pump, carbon fiber driveshaft, disconnecting the power steering (not recommended), better induction, and better exhaust... of course the money you'd be spending on gas would just go towards mods instead. Bigger tires and heavier rims also hurt gas mileage.

I get 18/26 mpg right now on a 3.43 gears, cam, underdrive pulley, catback, and carbon fiber driveshaft. I'm currently getting a ported throttle body, long tube's, ory, heads, and a dyno tune. So who know's where it will go from there. It's a ls1 firehawk with ram air also. My ls1 camaro got 15/28 with 3.73 gears, the exhaust, 1le induction, carbon fiber driveshaft, pulley, and speartech tuning

A good Catback, tire pressure around 42 psi, be easy on the gas, stick to around 55 MPH, proper maitanence and make sure you get good gas thats the rights at least 91 octane. I will usually get like 16 mpg around town and by no means am I easy on it. This is with a 2.73 rear and a 3200 stall converter.
