Lets see some aftermarket steering wheel pics

Was thinking about going with an aftermarket wheel on my 2000 SS. How much of a pain in the ass is it to change and what are some good alternatives as I'm looking for a small wheel. TIA

im with hot wheels on this one. who cares what kind of steering wheel you have. having a air bag to protect you from smashing your face in to your brain is better than having a cool looking one that has no protection.

how about we wear seatbelts, and look cool, if you are still worried get 4pt harness (I know it's a pain in the butt)

It would be different and that is good! Seems like us F-body guys are lacking in the inivation department.

only problem is seatbelts are designed to stretch in a crash, otherwise it would be comparable to being hit with a steel pipe...your head can and will hit the steering wheel with a seatbelt so the airbag is a good idea....not to mention camaros arent exactly ***** crash test rated so we need all the help we can get

4 or 5 pt harnesses are very good looking but not very economical since it takes a while to get them on every time you want to go soemwhere. plus tehy requre a roll cage which adds up to some major moolah

good point about the roll cage, I was thinking about all the c3 vettes that put 4 or 5 pt harnesses in. they can buy the single bar that runs behind the seats to mount the harnesses.

Your insurance company will not look favorably on you removing the best safety devise in your car. If you have an accident and are injured they have the right to deny your claim on that basis. Food for thought.
