Wheels question

I have an 02 Z and I am thinking about getting my SS Alloy's "fixed up." I was talking to a friend of mine and he told me about something called "polishing" that does something like getting them chromed but it looks better and never fades. Anyone know what he was talking about? Otherwise I want to either get mine chrommed (which I hear can chip or fade) or trade mine in for the chrome version depending on what kind of a price I can get. My final question is... what type of paint should I use to paint my brake calipers red? I hear thats the way to do it rather than buying them that way. Thanks!

Polishing is a long process. If you get them done make your you get them Coated with a clear. Polishing doesnt shine forever you have to maintain it. As for Caliper paint Duplicolor makes a brush-on caliper paint, thats is your best way to go. Just read the package and follow instructions.
