Bolt-on War 2006! Concept
This is just an idea i got from the Horsepower War thread but i was thinkin about this and it could be a good idea, it would start May 2006 and end on the last day of August 2006, here is the concept...
Take 3-5 people, LS1 or LT1 thats stock or has a couple of minor mods. Instead of doing internal work like heads, cam, lifters, ect...do only bolt on mods that include, intake manifold, headers, intake, exhaust, pullys, programmer, ect. Start off with a base dyno like before and then do a after. Myself this upcoming summer plan on adding LS6 intake manifold, headers, hi flo cats, y pipe, k&n filter, lifted intake box, plugs and wires. So to make it fun if a couple of guys or girls on this site would like to be in as well I will start to come up with a list of possible people as well as see what setup provides best in bolt on aftermarket parts. Anybody who would be interested in doing this kind of war for the summer let me know. I think it will be fun, as well as provide a bunch of information for beginners with F-bodys and what simple mods can do to bump up the HP of their cars. I remember the test in GM high tech where they ran LT1's vs LS1's.
Both are good motors, but you have to look at the techology advantage of the LS1. It is underrated, so that means an auto/stick LS1 car will easily beat any LT1 car, including the SS model. With mods you are always gonna be behind with an Lt1 car.

I thought i would add this i am planning maybe not that soon but if everything goes well a whole new ls1 (heads, cam, tuning), and new 6 speed transmission, and a new strange 12 bolt with 4.10's will let you know it should start here somewhere in the next two years

I'll try and get some of the Ported T/b #'s and Headers #'s before I do the cam then, just for ****************s for this thread. I was gonna do the cam with the headers but for #'s sake I'll do them seperate. I'll do the mods before and after I tune them Hp Tuners then also.
