how much heavier is the LT1 to LS1??? what were the horsepower ratings for the LT1?.. what does the LS1 have that made it 30 horse more?

100 lbs.
LT1=270HP
LS1=305-325
30 + more HP due to a totally redesined motor. The only things they have in common are the Rod bearings and the lifters.

93-95 lt1= 275hp
96-97 lt1= 285hp

You can put more mods and hp in the lt1 because is the big block

What are you talking about the block dimetions are the same! The LT1 is a 350 and the LS1 is a 346. 4 ci is not that big of a difference.
You can mod an LS1 just as much as you can an LT1.
Put it this way what is the LT1 based stock suspension style world record? The LS1 is 8.52!
