low coolant level light
my low engine coolant level light came on this evening. last week i changed my thermostat, which doesnt seam to be working correctly. i filled the coolant and felt i burped it well enough. tonight the light came on. so checked the coolant in radiator. its at the top. checked the reserve and filled it. the light doesnt go out. any ideas where the censor is? is it in the radiator or the reserve? could the censor be bad already? as for the thermostat not working correctly, the gauge reads a constant 210, thanks

called the dealership they wanted $90+ to diagnose the problem. called parts dept, they said the censor was $50+ alone. i found the censor, its about 1-2 inches under the radiator cap, upper passenger side. has a metal retaining clip. once thats off, it pulls right out. it was dirty. guess from when i drained the coolant to change the stat the air got to it and caused it to gum up. sounds good anyhow. so i cleaned it up, hot water and soap, and put it back together. seams to be working properly now. hmmm, i have $150 for something else for the car lol
