Camaro SS hood fiberglass??
i have heard that from the factory the camaro SS's hood was fiberglass or a composite..not steel...is this true?

My hood is not steel, i think its fiberglass.

It's a glass reinforced polyester compound, fiberglass usually refers to epoxy based composites.

Yes they are about 25 lbs lighter than the Z/28 hood.

they are made of smc (plastic sheet molding compound)
