painting calipers, do u also paint the bracktets?

Its all in preferance, do them if ya wanna. I think it looks cleaner if you do

By brackets, do you mean where the caliper bolts to? Or the skinny part of the caliper? I painted the whole caliper but didn't touch the axle or hub at all.

i just got done i painted the whole thing caliper and bracket it looks better than jsut the caliper thanx

Oh cool, I like painted calipers. This weekend when I had the wheels off I realized I needed to repaint them.

I'd just keep them red, there was a lot of chips and the color was a little dark. Just a touchup really.

Mine were red,I don't think they prep'd to good cause it was ALL flacking off...and I thought the red was outta place,since nothing else was red on the car...and I wanted 2 colors...I think the silver made the bracket a nice highlight.

I wanna get the camaro letters in silver to put on the black caliper....do they just stick on and thats it??

Do you guys take your calipers off to paint them. When i did them on my old car i took them completely off and sanded, primed, color, and cleared them, two-tone red and black. If you did your's different, how? and how did or are they holding up?

I took 'em off...I didn't clear them tho...I bout the caliper kit....they still look like they did when I irst did it.

Yes, then you can clear coat over them if you choose. Mine are uncoated and have held up fine for 2 years.
