I didn't notice any huge gain with the TB bypass, i hear its minimal so i doubt you will NOTICE it but any little gain is great if its free.

Biggest gain you'll see from a free mod is the free ram air. There are a few others worth doing too. The TB bump stop I hear is worth it, but a little tricky. Rick hooked you up with install universitys address, the only other sites I know of with some good mods are www.bowlingss.com and www.evlls1.com

Free mods are exactley that free. By themselves they dont show major gains, but together when done right they make life easier and can produce some gains. BTW there are different opinions on this. I did alot of mine to clean up the engine bay and for weight reduction.. Here is my list of free mods..Not for the faint of heart

Windshild wipers,arms and motor
Windsheild washer tank
Air Conditoning
Air Bag both sides
HVAC with blower
EGR and Air system
Throttle Body Bypass
Passenger wire relocation
Back seats and seat belts

It was all free. I have a FIPK, so i ditched the whole stock air box.

When the throttle blade opens there is a tab that hits a part of the throttle body, shaving this area on the throttle body down will allow your throttle blade to open all the way. I haven't done this yet, mainly because it involves a voltmeter on the IAC I think it is. A little too complex for me unless I get really bored one day.

Is it just a little piece of metal or something?? Can you just take a dremel and grind it down a lil??
