Question COWL HOOD what do you think?

I wanted to buy a 4" cowl induction hood but they are pricey and fiberglass and some peopple told me they worp some times and it's hard to align them. What do you think about getting a scoop like this one and mount it on your existing hood. You still have to paint it but you know the hood fits and it's a LOT cheaper.

114 is the one i like.

that's still not going to give you the weight reduction of a fiberglass hood or cool the engine off like cowl induction does

I have a 3.5 Glastek and had no problems getting it fitted or cracking etc. It needed to be cleaned up a little during prep but overal it fit great and i have had no problems. If you look around, there are group purchases etc..I got a great deal on mine and glad i went with it.

Buy a quality hood, and you will have no issues. VFN is a great company, wih a great fitment. I love cowl hoods, all of my cars ended up with them. This Z is gettin the Sunoco hood though, love how it flows with the bodylines

I say get the hood. As mentioned, you can see so much heat rising it's like being in the desert. Drastically changes the look of the car and gets peoples attention. One guy was staring so hard he rear ended the car in front of him, I felt bad for the guy but that didn't stop me from laughing. I get alot of compliments on my car because of the hood and my car ain't even painted. Kinda funny to watch stuff get sucked in there, keeping the engine bay clean is a bitch.

Can I say bitch?

guess I'll find out.
