LS1 Scanmaster worth the money?

Just wondering if there was any input from owners out there or people what they think about the scanmaster which is only $249.99 plus shipping from

A complete diagnostic tool for $250? Even though it can't program your car, if you plan on doing extensive modifications or even if you just like to know what's going on in your car, absolutely. I wish the War Department would let me buy one. Maybe I'll ask for one for Christmas.....

it wouldnt be a bad investment, IF you understand the values that it will be reading. You can sit an stare at the MAF readings all ya want if they dont make sence then its just a waste. Another good way to go, if you have a laptop, is Autotap. But if you really just want it for DTC's you can go to like Autozone and they scan it for free.

Good point, read up on the values and figure if there is something you'd want specifically from it. Don't buy it just to have one, make sure you can use it before you do.
