I'm just starting off and funds are rather low at the time lol. the next items im looking at are torque arm, lca and sfc. looking for full exhaust system. but that'll probably have to wait till next summer. 17 inch rims too. and anything else that i can get for decent price.
my issue right now is damn thermostat, im on my second 180 hypertech stat. and car still runs just under 210 mark.

Are you saying that your factory gauge says 210? Thab if so, I would say you have a 99-02 car! Because your factory gauge is programmed to go to 210 and sit there. On 98 cars the gauges were actually fairly acurate. Also changing your thermo does not do anything unless you reprogram your fans to come on at a lower temp.

yes, i have a 99 with stock gauge. so, what you're telling me is. even though my gauge reads 210, its inacurate? and that it's actually cooler? i have the PP3 and had the fans programmed to turn on sooner.

Yes that is what I am telling you. Get an acurate gauge for your car and you will have a good reading of what your temp is.

Well I had a big setback today. I was scraping off the head gasket material and found a crack in the block on the side of #4 piston, which was the one that went bad causing this new project, then I noticed that there was a barely noticable hairline crack in the cylinder wall.
Now I need to find a new or used LS1 block and or 6.0L block and sell my LS1 pistons and get 6.0L pistons, or what ever I am going to do.
This project is snowballing and all I want to do is drive my car!

That sucks, sorry to hear about your misfortune. Good luck on finding a new block.

sorry to hear that, but think about in another light. had you not found this out, think of how worse it could have been and how much money it could have cost later on.
