Window Motor

Well it looks like I will be doing the infamous window motor change sometime soon, well maybe like spring, but soon enough, I looked around and found the install guide that was posted on here, looks like a ton of... fun... yeah... I just hope it's not to hard.

took me about 6 hours to do it. It is a pain to do and I would recommand getting some one to do it for you if you dont have a lot of mechinal experance. just remember if you pay some one to do it you will have to pay for a couple of hours labor and it be done right. You do it yourself you might break the window and have to replace that.

I say buy the motor yourself and call around for the best price to get it installed.. that's what I'm going to do when mine goes out.

I agree..its not difficult at all, i honestly cant see it taking more then a hour if you have some mechanical skills. The hardest part is taking the door apart and putting it back together. After that your just drilling 3 holes.

I wouldn't buy the ebay motor, the last thing you want to do is have to replace it again. I recommend the Autozone motor. It's less than $50.00 and is way better than OEM. It took me about an hour to change mine, it's not very hard.

It took me about an hour, also, including taking the door panel off and putting it back on. If you want to bring it over, I'll help you.

Might not be worth the trip, though.

That's right, I forgot about that part. I replaced both of mine with the Siemans motor and they seem stronger than the OEM by far. I have not had any problems with them........oh wait. I guess you will have to ask WeaponZ if their still doing ok.

I bought a 25 buck motor from Direct Auto on ebay...worked for all of 2 seconds, then died. Went to Autozone, bought theirs. My driver side motor was a piece of cake, seeing as it has been replaced 3 other times by the previous owner!

I was going to do the pax side, but I couldn't find where to place the three holes? The directions on that website weren't totally clear.
