Question Headlight conversion kit?

I've seen "HUD" conversion kits for some new Camaro's. Aparetnly they make it so your headlights can use a diffrent kind of gas to emmit a light that is more blue than yellow. Some new cars come with it, like Mercadies Benz and some BMW's...

But if anyone knows where i can get a kit for my '95 LT1 Z28, PLEASE! I WOULD LOVE TO INSTALL THAT! I also want to get a smoked headlight cover once i get the conversion kit installed.

Dressing up the exterior is one of the last things im doing this year to my baby to get her "whip'd into shape"

I am kind of confused cause HUD is short for heads up display which doesnt have anything to do with your headlights but they do make some bulbs and even some headlight kits that uses the blue colored lights for your 95 Z. Check out Ebay and you will find what your looking for.

I think what he meant was HID, which stands for High Intensity Discharge. Such as Metal Halide Lamps.

Talking Oops!

My bad. I knew i had seen both abreviations before but i guess i confused the two.

But as for the HID conversion kits, has anyone seen such a thing for a '95 Z28???

I will try Ebay but i still havnt seen one for my year which makes me scared that they may not make such a thing...

Yeah they do make them but they are expensive. I did see them on Ebay a while back but I will see if I can find something on the net and if I do I will let you know. I want to say they were like 200 + but not positive.

ive never seen a kit however people have made their own conversions to HID. ive seen a 5000 custom set up. im not sure the term after that number but brighter HID systems are like in the 8000s. as far as price $200 would be on the low side as most ricer kits are around $400-600

That sounds cool. But i also wanna change my regualr lights over. I went to my local Auto Zone and they said there is only the one stock replacement for my car. They said the HID conversion kit is the only option and they dont carry it.

if you dont wanna spend lots of money to do the hid conversion, just buy the blue bulbs for now -made by optx or eurolite to name a couple (DONT buy the walmart or autozone kind). i got my optx ones at best buy. whatever bulbs you get, rip out your sealed beam bulbs and silicone the new ones in (let them dry for a little bit before installing)

i just checked it out. how would you compare it to regular xenon bulbs(the actual light, not the looks of the bulbs). i think if i was gonna get that, i would probably spend the extra money and get the universal 9006 hid kit (search ebay to check out).
