Simple Fuel Filter Question

hey guys , more of a peace of mind question than anything else. Just go finished changing the fuel filter in my 97 z28 , old one came off it looked to be the one that came with the car in 97 lol !!! Put the new one in , piece of cake. Only question is , the skrew end on it , I guess it would be considered the top. I skrewed the filter on as far as it would go without excessive force , but about 1/4 inch of the threat is still showing , its not leaking or anything but is it supposed to land flush or not? Im new to fuel injected cars so Im not sure. Its a NAPA Gold filter replacement .
thanks again , Justin Linett

No it will not be flush. As long as you got it tight and its not leaking you will be fine.

Yes, Justin it is O.K. if a few threads are showing. As long as it is tight enough you won't have any leaks. Just double check to make sure.

excellent , it hasnt leaked a drop yet so I guess its ok. I didnt wanna wrench down on it cuz I knew if I stripped the threads I was in trouble , so I just tightened it till it gave me reasonable resistance then I stopped. I just wanted to make sure it wasnt supposed to be flush. Thanks alot , I dont know what I'd do without this forum
