I will be running at the track next spring and ill be using my old stock z rims when i go. i am lookin for a good 245/50/16 or 255/50/16 drag radial.... i have always been around people using the BF goodrich T/A drag radial...and they seem to be pretty darn, butany good suggestions on any others? hows the nitto 555 drags stack up cuz they sure seem more expensive??

Both are good tires. I have bf on my Z, and my racing partner has nittos on his cobra. run about 13 to 15 psi, and burn the hell out of em to heat em up. Both will stick if your not pushing a tremendous amount of hp.I do kick his ass by two tenths but I dont think its the tires

I run 345/60/15's on my supercharged C10 truck and love them but don't get stuck in the rain or park it if you can't take back streets( granted mine are 14.5 inches wide but we have had a local camaro/f.b. club member here hydroplane and demolish his Z with the BFG drag radials since louisiana's roads suck and hold so much water but you said they would be on a second set of rims. Sure the BFGs are excellent on the track. i'm buying nitto's for 130 each from my local goodyear dealer since I only have one set of rims. I did hear you might need to heat them up more too though.

with the nitto's it does look like there will be more rubber actually touching the ground...compared to the pics of the BF's and they really don't look much different than a street tire....but idk if that really means anything
