Cool SS versus Z28

How do I upgrade my 98 Z28 to SS specifications. I know the hood, rear spoiler and badges are different. What else was changed? Are these parts generally available and from whom?

they are the same motor......internally identical... but they have the "ram air",some type of slp exhaust( it was part of the SS package) thats why there only a few HP difference between the z28 and SS.. blistein shocks.. and some other minor suspension mods i think but im not sure of what else. Im sure you already know this but you can make alot more power and keep it alot cheaper and still look like an SS if ya buy aftermarket parts instead of buy factory GM parts.

Both the Z and the SS 01 and 02 LS1's have the LS6 intake. Pre 01's have the LS1 intake.

The wheels on the SS are also 17 inch instead of the Z's 16 inch.

I think the sway bars are a different size as well. Mainly its all suspension work other than the appearance mods.

Get a catalog from Next Gen. (Year One) they have the entire SS suspension upgrade, as well as the hood spoiler etc.

Should be www.yearone.com but not positive. If not just do a search for Year One on Yahoo and you will find it.

Free mods and air lid will surprise your ss competition if they are basically the same cars.

Oh, don't worry about the shipping for the catalog, I have been ordering parts on and off from Year One for about 8 years, and they have never charged me for the catalog. They just say that and I have no idea why.
