motor swap

Hey, i was wondering if it was possible to drop and ls1 in a 6 cylinder. and, if possible, how big of a job it would be

Anything is possible. How much it will cost is another story. There was a kit for sale on Ebay to drop a big block into a fourth gen. But after you find a complete engine, tranny, and a kit you have spent some $$$. Save your money it would be cheaper to buy a Z to begin with.

very expensive, not to mention a lot of labor for conversion

find you a cheap Z with a lot of miles and have it rebuilt for that kind of doe....

I agree. Go with a early foruth gen, should be able to pick one up cheap. Then the money you saved you could build one hell of an engine. Just food for thought.

Just go buy an LS1 they are not that much. I got my 98 over 2 years ago for $14K.
