Winter Storage

Living in the northeast I am storing my 2000 ss for the winter.I have it in the garage(unheated) with a breathable cover.Filled up the gas and added stabil gas treatment.I figure on getting a battery tender to keep it charged.I think that is better than starting it every few weeks.I would like to put it on jack stands also.Any thoughts or tips would be appreciated.Thanks.

if you dont start it at least once a week, your bearings could be drying up and cause you seriuos engine damage, there is no way I would go a couple of months w/o starting her up and bringing her to normal operating temp

anything thick enough to stay on those internals, would be too thick to run through your oil pump

That makes some sense I guess I figured starting it up dry is bad for the engine so if I do that more often as opposed to once in the spring that would be better?I'll start it once a week for now.The side benefit is I get to hear that rumble every week!
