Red face Dumb T-Top question

I'm kinda scared to take my ttops off. My car never came with an owners manual and I've never had a ttop car before. Do you just unlock them and pull the handle and straight out, or up? I'm pretty clueless. Are they hard to put back in?

1-Unlock
2-Turn Handle
3-Lift Handle Side Up and out.
4-Put in slots in trunk during travel.

Reverse for installation

Unlock turn the key sideways

Don't pull but turn the handles. They may be stiff from not being used that's ok.

Then pull them off. I'd suggest putting them in the trunk (t-top rack) rightway if you want to leave them off. Reason being is that they can get scratched up pretty easily. I've learned from experience.

Not a dumb question at all You got the answer needed so it was a very smart question if you ask me.

I'm sure this is common knowledge, but just in case, make sure you lock them when you put them back on, dont drive around with them unlocked, I've heard a horror story from a girl I know who didn't lock hers.. they aren't that cheap to replace either.

Man I really appreciate it guys. This board has been very helpful, this is my first camaro so I've had lots of questions and its kinda hard with no owners manual . But I've been on a lot of forums and I must say this one has a lot of good people.

Thanks

I have never locked a set of t-tops in any car I have driven. As long as you put them back on correctly you will never have an issue with them coming off.

I dont lock mine either. The handle takes a lot of force to turn.
