Weld rims on a 4thgen ?

I'm so close to getting me a '00 Z28 (more then likely it will be mine) but I dont like the 16'' wheels that came out on them and I have brand new Weld Draglites (15x5 for front and 15x9 for rear) I have heard you ahve to grind down the disks or drums or something to get a 15'' wheel to fit? Is this ture? and if so .. is it a pain? I work in a mahcine shop so I could get some new one from work and do all the grinding with professional tools (ie lathes, grinding table etc..) Sorry if this has been asked already guys .. I'm a newb to 4thgens kinda (never owned one and hope I will come Monday)

Brandon

Thanks man! I just got my Draglites not to long ago (tires even still have the nipples on them lol maybe seen 50 miles) but if your not able to use a 15'' rim I know I could sell 'em and maybe get some Z06 rims

I had to grind my calipers down and had to clearance the fenderwells a little but I am also running 10" Welds so you might not have to do the well area.

Different backspacing. Depending on the backspacing you may or may not have to grind your calipers. If you don't have enough backspacing, or the whell rubs the caliper, and you don't want to grind you could use a spacer with a longer stud.
