Power antenna makes funny sound...help.
When I turn on my radio and antenna goes up, right when it gets to the top it does the gear type noise like the headlights do when they are out...but it only does it for 1 second exactly...any easy fixes? Or whats wrong? Thanks

Sounds like its out of adjustment and it reaches the top before the motor feels it does and keeps going for a second longer.

...so how and what should I do? It does look a little bent when its up...is that the problem?

Dont know exactly how you would go about fixing it

If the antenna isn't fully retracting that could be the cause of the problem but if it is fully retracting it may be that the motor is just staying on too long or the "kill switch" in the motor is having problems.

hmm im pretty sure its going up all the way..

Not real sure how to fix it. Something you could do is go to a junkyard and pick up a replacement motor and swap them out. It will eleminate any problem with the motor itself.

how much would that run you think? ANywhere online I can find them for cheap? ANd I am guessing they are pretty easy to swap out?

Yup its not going up all the way...it could possibly be a bend...or it needs more grease...what should i use to unbend it and what grease should i use?...Thanks
