Question HP Estimate

My freind has a 1999 Trans Am with an LS1 with the following mods:

LS6 Intake
Long Tube Headers W/t Off Road Y
Borla Cat Back
Stage 2 Racing Chip

My question is how much HP does this LS1 have?

Info will be greatly appreciated
thanks

It can vary a bit since some ls-1 cars can dyno in the 325rwhp range bone stock, while others bone stock will pull 300-310 range. So I would guess his about 340-350rwhp, but like I said it can vary alot.

i'll say in the ball park of 335, the brank of headers will cause variation

If he gets a tune, he will add another 10-15 RWHP off a dyno tune.

LS1s don't have chips, you are right.

BTW who cares about horsepower at the crank. Are you racing engines or cars??

He's probably around 335hp to the wheels right now. A tune would help him reach 350ish.

A lot of people only care about horsepower at the motor. You tell someone around here...I have 350 rear wheel horsepower...they are like that's it...350 horse? If you tell them...yeah...my motor is 410 horse they would be like...ewwwww...ahhhhhhh...wow thats great. Different strokes for different folks.

Besides when your building a motor...you dyno it way before you drop it in the car so "crank" horsepower is just as useful as RWHP since its usually measured first.

omg i know i hate when stupid people say that stuff, most people dont even understand the rear wheel concept and how hp is lost through the drivetrain.....

I completely agree with that but I still don't get why retards at the track are telling me about their 410 crank hp bolt-on LS1
