Drag Radials???

It's time for some new rear tires. I was wondering how many miles would drag radials hold up. I think it would be nice since i am already spending money on tires to do it right. Give me some of ur opinoins.

I have personally seen the BFG and Nitto's get from 15-20k. Obviously this number could get very small depending on how you treat them. The new MT will not last long at all but they hook something fierce! For a car that does a fair amount of street duty the BFG or Nitto's will perform well at the track and still give a reasonable service life on the streets.

yea i hear they do grip alot better! but they are costly! there like 2 sumthing a tire! and they dont last very long. esspecially if ur running hard on them... wat size wheel are u putting them on???

o and i dont think the nitto 555 is a drag radial... i had sum of those, and i seen some drag radials, and they are totally different.. u would want the nitto 55r.. those a nice and soft. and hook pretty good!

If u want them to last long get the Nitto's, my BFG's didnt last for crap but man they REALLY hook!! Between Nitto's and BFG's, BFG gets my vote on stickyness but dont last near as long as the nittos. Mine lasted all of 3k as well as my friends his lasted almost 4k. Nittos from my expereince do better in rain aswell. I almost wrecked a few times on the higway with my BFG's they loose traction just outa no where. It was all good then just suddenly the car went side ways, i had to keep it under 50 so that it wouldnt spin out.

I'm running the BFG DR's right now. They hook well and are so-so in the rain. As far as spin outs out of no where I have not heard about that befor... unless he was in the rain when it happened.

The Nitto 555R's are a good DR for the street. They hook OK and will last 10-13k miles. The BFG's will hook very well but will only last 3-6k miles depending on how hard you are on them. As far as the MT ET Streets... I would not suggest them using them daily. They already have a warning on them about highway driving and they are horrible in the rain. I doubt they would last 4k miles.

All in all if you want a tire that will do good on the street, do good in the rain and last long go with the Nittos. If you want tire that will hook great, do ok in the rain and not last long go with the BFG DR's.

Yep, the Nittos are alittle better in the rain than the BFG's. Though no DR does well in the rain IMO.
