Yes Torque Thrusts look good on F Bodies.

man i just got pulled over on the way home today... the cop kept getting closer and closer to my butt and it was right after high school let out therefor i thought it was some idiot driver who thought i pulled out in front of him so he kept getting on my butt... i got going between 10 and 15 over... then i could see it was a cop... then he blue lighted me... but he didn't give me a ticket or really even say anything about the speeding, he actually talked about my car... i truthfully believe he pulled me over to talk about my ride and camaro's lol ( Luck me! ) then he gave me my info back and told me to try and keep it under 100...
Deffenetly a scary experience sayingit was my first time ever being pulled over

hey mykdiver,
I was wondering if you might be able to tell me whats up w/ my M6. It seems that if i try to shift quickly from 1st to 2nd then it wants to grind some going into 2nd.. it isnt a bad grind but it makes it rough going in. Do youo think that may just be the stock shifter being gay. Would a pro 5.0 shifter help w/ that? It only does it when i shift fast from 1st to 2nd... the clutch is still fully engaged and everything. It won't do this if i shift slowly.. but whats the fun in that... and that kills E.T times and 0-60 times.. what do you think that could be?
I'd grealy appreciate your advice

It might be that your stock clutch is not engaging, or your syncros might be going bad.

yah i was thinking it may be the syncro's.. i really have no clue... do you think it would need to be looked into..or should it be fine? would it develope into something worse? I really have no clue how old or worn the clutch is... it seems to feel fine but i don't know for sure.. it only seems to happen during 1st to 2nd shifts... if done fast w/ the clutch fully engaged then it will make a slight grind noise and feel a little harsh going into 2nd, unlike if i grinded the gears and it would no go into gear at all...i had that problem w/ 1st to 2nd shifting. It was so bad that it wouldn't go into 2nd at all it would grind and pop back into nuetral. It hasnt done that in a long time so i really don't know what the deal is. But you think that a new shifter wouldnt help anything?

I am definatly not the expert on this, a shifter is a good thing to do to your car, but I don't think that has to do with your problems. Mine did that with the stock clutch, then I went with the Mcleod Twin Disk, and I no longer have that problem, unless it is me short stroking the clutch pedal. It could still be the syncros though.

I would ask TwoFast4Lv, he is a tranny mechanic.

it is weird because today when i was driving it , it never completly grinds... it just is harder to put into second and makes a sort of grinding sound but its very quiet so i'm not positive.. thats why i think it just may be the stock shifter

hey myke,
I think i may of found out why my car wants to grind 2nd to 3rd or 1st to 2nd. The slave cylinders they put in the 98-00 models have a restirctor in them that cause the clutch to let out slower or something like that therefore shifting hard can cause the clutch to burn/ grind

Yes that may be the reason, I drilled mine out when jI put in the Mcleod Twin disk.
