New key tumbler install
Kind of a new guy here...
I was hoping to obtain some info from someone for instructions on how to install a new key tumbler in a 98 z28. I do not see a pin hole to pop it out. Thanks

how do you deactivate the air bag system on a a 94 before you install a new tumbler? Id hate to have it go off, thanks

Don't know the answer off the top of my head, but I'll look for my Hayne's manual. If I find it I'll let you know. Also,.. If you don't own one of these manuals, you should. Deffinately the best $5 I've spent. Answers all my mechanical questions.
I'll go look for it now..

Remove the air bag fuse in your car...... Come to think of it I didnt remove mine when I did my ignition cylinder.....

Unplug the connector for the Air bag......they can deploy even with no battery in the car as long as the capasitors have a charge. I believe its up to 20 min later....dont quote me though been a long time. I have the GM airbag training book somewhere.
